About Aurora’s Trading Post
Aurora’s Trading Post was founded in 2022 in memory of our daughter, Aurora. In the midst of grief, we found solace in creativity, allowing us to embrace the beauty of small moments.
Our journey began with Ophelia Origami, a passion project centered around origami-inspired jewelry. We started with handcrafted crane earrings and later expanded into charms and other intricate jewelry pieces.
In 2022, while expecting, I sought a natural way to fill our home with comforting scents but found that traditional candles triggered migraines. This led to the creation of Just Simmer Down—a line of non-toxic simmer pot blends designed to freshen and uplift any space. In 2024, we officially introduced these products, and they quickly became a customer favorite. We continue to develop new and unique scent combinations to enhance your home.
Aurora’s Trading Post has since grown into a multi-faceted creative brand that also includes:
- Enchanted Prairies Photography – Offering fantasy-inspired photoshoots that bring imagination to life.
- Hair by Ember – Specializing in festival braiding with high-quality extensions.
We are constantly evolving and will soon be introducing tie-in braids and handmade paper to our collection of offerings. Our goal is to create meaningful, handcrafted products that bring joy to others.
